NEW ORLEANS, La. — The U.S. Coast Guard sent out a news release that they and commercial crews are searching for a missing crewman from the offshore vessel Dustin Danos 60 miles southwest of Port Fourchon, Saturday, Nov. 9.
Towboat Strikes Lapalco Bridge in Harvey, La.

HARVEY, La. — According to the U.S. Coast Guard, a towboat pushing barges on Friday, Oct. 25, struck the span of the Lapalco Bridge in Harvey, Louisiana resulting in minor damage to the bridge’s catwalk. Harvey is located about 7 miles south of New Orleans.

NEW ORLEANS, La. — The U.S. Coast Guard issued a release stating that Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector New Orleans received a report at 6:03 a.m. on Saturday, October 12, that a 50-year-old male, aboard the barge Boaz, was reportedly suffering from a cardiac condition. The Boaz transferred the man to a nearby platform.

VENICE, La. — A helicopter that took off from an oil rig on Wednesday, October 9, carrying three offshore workers and a contract pilot, crashed immediately after takeoff into the Gulf of Mexico, killing the pilot and severely injuring two of the workers.
