Barge Stuck at Mississippi River Bridge

VICKSBURG, MS – Last Wednesday, March 23, 2011, a river barge became lodged against the Mississippi bridge in Vicksburg, MS causing a salvage operation to be conducted by the U.S. Coast Guard. The barge became almost completely submerged after colliding against one of the bridge supports.
