Check out this dramatic video from Portsmouth, NH.
The filmer says he was shooting removal and restoration work on Memorial Bridge in Portsmouth, NH when the tugboat Miss Stacy, while guiding a barge to catch debris from the removal, got jammed up against the bridge in the strong current of the Piscataqua River.
The dramatic scene lasted for about a half an hour before the Miss Stacy was pulled to safety by the Eugenia Moran. The Miss Stacy tugboat is owned and operated by Seaward Marine. Luckily no one was injured (or got wet) in the incident.
The powerful and dangerous nature of tugboats means that routine operations can quickly take a turn for the worse, as seen here in this video. If you’re injured while working on a tugboats, we recommend you consult a tugboat injury lawyer immediately.
