NEW ORLEANS, La. — Three crew members and two passengers on the Chalmette Ferry complained of minor injuries after the ferry collided with a barge on Friday, Oct 26, causing minor damage to both vessels.
According to the Coast Guard, the accident occurred at about 10 a.m. Friday knocking the ferry out of service. Non of the crew or passengers were taken to the hospital for treatment.
The accident remains under investigation by the Coast Guard at this time.
